Small Charterhouse Keepsake – Blond Curls

£200.00

The face in the original window was partially concealed by another figure. Here I have replaced the foreground with a piece of border glass incorporating circles that echo the beautiful blond curls of his hair. It comes from the Appearance of Jesus to his Disciples, paid for by Hodgsonites. I have included a delightful gothic window in the background.

Description

A small framed stained glass panel made with historic glass fragments from Charterhouse School in Godalming. The glass was originally made for the chapel in around 1872 by the London firm of Clayton & Bell. It has survived two fires and has been reinvented into a new work of art in my studio in Farncombe.

The panel measures 10cm x 10cm (framed size 12cm x 12cm x 3cm)
