Windy Weather

£800.00

The window was very badly damaged by fire. It took two figures from the same scene to make this panel. I love the movement the glass painter created in the hair and beard that expresses the energy of the elements.

Taken from the miraculous draught of fishes window. It was paid for by the Housemaster and pupils of Verites.

Description

A  round stained glass panel made with historic glass fragments from Charterhouse School in Godalming. The glass was originally made for the chapel in around 1872 by the London firm of Clayton & Bell. It has survived two fires and has been reinvented into a new work of art in my studio in Farncombe.

The panel measures 21cm diameter.
