Forty Winks

£500.00

The original window showed a sleeping figure lying on the ground with his head resting on his arms. He was wearing yellow polkadot robes reminiscent of pyjamas. We have retained some of the spotted glass in this composition while reorientation the head to an upright position.

The sleeping figure comes from The Ascension of Elijah, paid for by Gownboys.

Description

A framed stained glass panel made with historic glass fragments from Charterhouse School in Godalming. The glass was originally made for the chapel in around 1872 by the London firm of Clayton & Bell. It has survived two fires and has been reinvented into a new work of art in my studio in Farncombe.

The panel measures 18cm x 18cm (framed size 20cm x 20cm x 3cm)
