Small Charterhouse Keepsake – Praying Hands

£200.00

Many of the figures from the original windows are praying. I incorporated four pairs of hands in this panel and set them in a red background. One pair of hands is of shepherds at the Nativity window, which was donated by the Headmaster, William Haig Brown.

Description

A small framed stained glass panel made with historic glass fragments from Charterhouse School in Godalming. The glass was originally made for the chapel in around 1872 by the London firm of Clayton & Bell. It has survived two fires and has been reinvented into a new work of art in my studio in Farncombe.

The panel measures 10cm x 10cm (framed size 12cm x 12cm x 3cm)
