Small Charterhouse Keepsake – Leaping Deer

£200.00

I adapted an image of a leaping deer for this small panel. I selected a piece of painted drapery and engraved then painted the deer. The glass was fired with yellow silver stain on the back in one firing. It is a mix of old and new with the folds of cloth still visible behind the leaping deer.

Description

A small framed stained glass panel made with historic glass fragments from Charterhouse School in Godalming. The glass was originally made for the chapel in around 1872 by the London firm of Clayton & Bell. It has survived two fires and has been reinvented into a new work of art in my studio in Farncombe.

The panel measures 10cm x 10cm (framed size 12cm x 12cm x 3cm)
