Small Charterhouse Keepsake – Flying Plate

£200.00

The golden plate came from the table in the Last Supper window, which was paid for by the Old Saunderites. The texture of the glass shows the damage the panel sustained in the fires.

Description

A small framed stained glass panel made with historic glass fragments from Charterhouse School in Godalming. The glass was originally made for the chapel in around 1872 by the London firm of Clayton & Bell. It has survived two fires and has been reinvented into a new work of art in my studio in Farncombe.

The panel measures 10cm x 10cm (framed size 12cm x 12cm x 3cm)
