The Coat of Arms was granted to the family for the building company Ashby & Horner Ltd, which can trace its origins back to 1690.  The Thorntons are represented by a crown of thorns. The small roundels in the corners of the border refer to the buildings that three generations of the family firm worked on. Dimensions: 63cm x 43cm
