The Eucharist 2025

All Saints Church, Benhilton, Sutton, London

It took over three years for me to design and make this window. The Church has some notable post-war glass including windows by John Hayward, an artist I admire, so it is a privilege to add to the beautiful church.

I wanted the window to be relatable and to reflect the congregation and the service I observed when I first visited. Christ is in the centre, radiating love and linking earth (the vine and wheat) and heaven (represented by the moon and stars). Four angels accompany the moment the bread turns into the body of Christ – one rings the bells, one holds the chalice for the wine, one sings in the choir and the other wafts incense up to heaven.

The window is dedicated to the memory of Ron and Myrtle Norman and their friend Eric Porter, who all served in the church.

Dimensions: Three lights approx 2.1m x 0.5m each. Overall dimensions approx 3.2m x 1.7m
