The triptych shows three generations of my family and our different creative passions. I wanted to celebrate my 21 year-old and my octogenarian Mum. I’m the one in the middle. We represent the stages in life of the Maid, the Mother and the Crone as I head towards the latter.

Handwriting is as expressive as drawing, indeed it is the same. The words in the border reflect the crafts we practice and our inner thoughts.

The panels can be seen as a companion piece to the Seven Ages that featured the life of my Dad.
